Who are we?
Since 1991, the North East Arts Council has presented artistic and cultural programs throughout the year to engage its members, area artists and the public who live nearby or visit the region as part of the lake shore tourism.
Programming has included weekly summer “Picnic in the Park” events featuring entertainment and children’s crafts, sponsoring a yearly youth theater camp, photography contests, gallery nights featuring regional artists, monthly art club for children, adult and children’s classes for experienced or inexperienced artists, art auctions, helping to bring the Erie Philharmonic to our town, and a celebration of North East’s own Ish Kabibble. The council also works to help promote the local arts and artists.
MISSION
The North East Arts Council was formed to encourage and stimulate an appreciation of the arts in the community of North East, Pennsylvania. By making artistic and culturally enriching activities available as part of the welcoming environment, we hope to enhance the already significant quality of life in this vibrant community.
