Photos will be judged by a professional photographer and will be put on display at our 2025 Soup Cook-off Fundraiser on February 23rd, 1-5 pm at the American Legion, 17 S. Mill Street. Get your original photo(s) printed & matted to submit to the North East Arts Council 2025 Photo Contest!
Drop offs:
8 am – 6 pm daily February 1st through 16th. Drop off at North East Arts Council Building, 25 Vine Street, back entrance.
Each entry MUST include printed & filled out form!

NE Arts Council Soup Cook-off and Photo Contest Show!
For our fundraiser this year, we are hosting a Soup Cookoff paired with a showing of the submissions for our 2025 Amateur Photo Contest!
Participating local restaurants/cooks will submit a favorite soup to wow the attendees. Ticket price will allow attendees a taste of all the soups, and then you’ll vote for your favorite!
We hope you can join us to help to support the council in providing arts and cultural programs for the North East community (visit www.northeastarts.org for more info)

Come learn the techniques of Zentangle, paired with painting and collage, to create a mixed media winter snowflake Mandala.
Working with instructor Christine French, you’ll be creating a finished piece of art similar to the picture while learning zentangle, painting and collaging techniques. A great winter project!
The class will be held Saturday, Feburaury 8th from 2p.m. to 5 p.m. at the cost of $25.00 for NEAC members and $30.00 for non-members.

It’s winter and it is time to think spring! Come learn (or practice) the art of zentangle with instructor Christine French while creating a butterfly on a watercolor background. Your finished piece, similar to the example shown, will be suitable for framing matted to the size of 12 X 16.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the copper foil (or Tiffany) method from the ground up, guided by live instruction from Ken & Casandra of Clear Cut Stained Glass Studio every step of the way. From safety procedures to mastering cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finishing touches, you’ll make a beautiful sun catcher to take home the same day! No experience required, all materials included.
This class will be available on March 16th from 1-5 pm.
